ExamplesA few simple scenarios
SilverEasy-Medium · 34 · #84

This player is Silver. Their Easy-Medium Skill already meets Gold, but they still need 16 more Pro Runs and must improve Performance from #84 to #80 or better.

DiamondExtreme · 230 · #36

This player is Diamond. They already have enough Skill for Master, but still need 20 more Pro Runs and must improve Performance from #36 to #30 or better.

DiamondHard-Extreme · 600 · #8

Even with 600 Pro Runs and excellent #8 Performance, this player remains Diamond because Master requires an Extreme Map Tier. The three gates cannot substitute for each other.

Exact calculationFor players who want to know what happens under the hood
1

Map Tier uses the 10th-hardest Pro mapYour Pro-completed maps are sorted by difficulty from hardest to easiest. The difficulty of position 10 becomes your Map Tier. With fewer than 10 Pro Runs, Map Tier cannot qualify you for Bronze.

10th-hardest Pro completion → Map Tier
2

Only maps with enough Pro results count for PerformanceA map is used for Average Pro Top Place only when it has at least 10 Pro Runs. With 1–9 Pro Runs, the map is ignored for Performance, but your completion still gives +1 Pro Run and can improve Map Tier. Eligible map placements are then normalized to a 100-player field.

eligible_map = total_places ≥ 10  ·  normalized_place = 1 + 99 × (player_place − 1) / (total_places − 1)
3

Performance uses the best 80% medianYou therefore may have fewer Performance results than total Pro Runs. Once you have at least 10 eligible normalized results, the weakest 20% are removed and the median of the remaining best 80% becomes Average Pro Top Place.

avg_pro_place = round(median(best_80_percent(normalized_places)))

The normalization lets results from popular and less-populated maps be compared on the same 1–100 scale. Lower Performance values are better.
